Daily Prompt: 1984
You’re locked in a room with your greatest fear. Describe what’s in the room.
1. The Ocean
2. Flying
3. Death
4. Heights
5. Failure
6. Rejection
7. Public Speaking
8. Nuclear War
9. Being Lost
10. The Unknown
Some room, huh?
I suppose it could be worse – being locked up with rabid wild animals, spiders, snakes and a dentist.
I wish I had a morbid fear of eating salted peanuts for breakfast, but apparently that doesn’t bother me at all.
“I suppose it could be worse – being locked up with rabid wild animals, spiders, snakes and a dentist.” This gave me quite the visual and made me laugh. Found myself feeling for the poor dentist! I wonder what it’s like to be a dentist where so many people fear you, when all your’re trying to do is help them. Great list!

I guess it’s nothing personal when it comes to dentists except for the association with pain. Wonder why we tend to remember the pain they caused, rather than the pain they relieved.

Good point! Wonder why that is?

I love water but I don’t ever want to die by it. The thought of a tsunami terrifies me. I used to have vivid nightmares about giant waves swallowing me up.

Yes, I like water just fine too as long as it doesn’t stop me from breathing.

That’s a tough one — for sure there would be liver in my room (I HATE liver!), worms, my third/fourth grade teacher, the dark, failure, and the knowledge that I was completely and utterly alone.

Ohh… If I could I’d be right there with you holding your hand. And maybe fighting off the liver for you. I have no fear of liver. 🙂

Dentists are high on my list. (Love the rabid bunnies.)

Paused very briefly at the like button, then thought nah, don’t wanna go there 🙂
I get afraid of all kinds of little things fairly frequently but the fear has little traction.
What I think I’m most afraid of is torture. Just the thought of it brings a bodily reaction.

I really love your breakfast idea 😉

Doesn’t sound cheesy at all – that one is the hardest of all to even contemplate. And the breakfast was an absent minded accident. The peanuts were there. It was seven a.m. They tasted pretty good with coffee. lol
