I worked in the restaurant/bar industry for years. It was so funny to see “Wanna-be” oenophile’s order wine. When the cork was presented, they picked it up and smelled it. “Mmmm, smells like cork….” Any oenophile knows the cork is presented to ensure air has not entered the bottle!
I had fun learning and using a new word today. Thanks!

I’m certainly no connoisseur, but always open to recommendations. Someone told me to try malbec and I’ve been kind of stuck on that one ever since.

Red Wine. The only alcohol I will still drink…

I don’t drink much of anything else either, but a glass of red wine with a great meal is lovely.

Strange as it is I just can’t drink Alcohol with a meal.
Call me strange…(I am anyway lol)
Rather have juice or a cup of tea 🙂 Goes down VERY WELL when we eat out somewhere lol

I love wine too, but alas seldom drink it anymore. Dianne

There’s definitely a problem with it coming in those big bottles when all you want is a sporadic glass or two and the rest gets wasted. Better the wine than me I guess. 😀

Wine makes me sleepy, Jazzy, but I’m definitely devoted to spirits. A glass of Chivas and I’m well and me and my tastebuds are reeling.
