Boating Tip
Starboard, port, bow, stern – these are handy nautical terms to throw around if you’re trying to sound like a sailor.  If staying afloat is your main concern,  think in simpler terms that aren’t so hard to remember, like right side up and upside down.

Always head the pointy end of the boat in the general direction you want to go. Two pointy ends give you twice as many options.
