I love steamed and buttered Roma green beans which we used to grow and which can’t be found anywhere now except at our weekly farmer’s market. We’ve had them every week this summer.

You sure are into beans these days, buying them and canning them. Next you will be eating them and full of beans for sure. Are you retiring on a big gust of wind?

Interesting thinking about this, because when I think back, as a kid I loved string beans, and now I rarely eat them. The difference? We always bought our veggies fresh, and snapped the beans right before dinner. Now, nope. My fave veggies are frozen peas or broccoli (frozen or fresh). Canned beans aren’t the same, are they?

Nope, not the same at all. We grew up on a farm with a garden the size of a field. All the processed food we eat is slowly killing us. Well, that and old age. haha
