What do you think? Too wild? Would you want to live in this chaotic little city?
I don’t know whether or not this is finished yet. It’s one of the biggest canvases I’ve ever worked on so all that work makes me feel like I should be done.
And then I frown at it for a while trying to decide what’s missing. But whatever is missing, there’s no room for it! So I’m finished, right?
Anyway, letting it hang for a bit. I used up a LOT of paper scraps creating my little village on crack.
I absolutely love it!

Aw, thanks sillyliss. I’m still letting it grow on me, but it is, so that’s good.😊

I think your little village is delightful! Who wouldn’t want to live in such a cool place?

Well there doesn’t seem to be any bi-law restrictions on what you can build – anything goes. lol😄

It’s more fun to browse through the streets and colorful house with my eye rather than trying to live in it. Love what you’ve created!

Yes, it is colourful, that’s for sure. Another time I might try to be more selective, but this was just fun, using up random bits and pieces so it turned in to a crazy quilt. 😊

A busy city, yes I would live there. I like it very creative.

I adore it!!! How large is it?

It’s 18 by 24 inches! I have three more canvases this size. Now that I’ve done one I’m not so intimidated by the size. Going to need more gel medium (glue) though….like a barrel maybe. 😄

Will you hang it in your home!? It is so fun! 😊

It is hanging up now on my art room wall where I hang things to look at them and decide their fate. It’s certainly a go anywhere (or nowhere) colour combination….😄

The more colors the better it is! Looks like you had fun! 😍👍🎨🌈

Oh I love this! All the details to find in the little town! It’s like a treasure hunt! 🙂

It is a lot to take in, with no real focal point but the more I look at it the more things I like about it. So thanks for that! ❤️

I love it! I love the P and Q, it made me think of the phrase, you have to mind your p’s and q’s. 🙂

Ha, I thought of that too. It was just one of those random things that happened with no plan. Sounds like a good description of my artistic process….lol

Second row. Second from right…the blue one. I’m renting it. Moving in tomorrow. Dinner at five. See you all then. Bring wine…

Oh, I am so there! 😄Then when we look out the windows and think we’re hallucinating we can blame it on the wine. Perfect.🍷

Enchanting. I’ll live happily ever after in the house with stars and an owl on the roof.

This is fabulous! Before even reading the words underneath I thought “I would like to live here”, I imagine it’s all twinkling lights and colour and creative chaos which frankly is the best kind of chaos. 🙂

I love it! Think of all the characters and personalities in each of those houses/buildings…what a cool village to be a part of! 🙂

You know, I drive through new neighbourhoods where all the houses are basically the same in shades of grey and brown and yes, they’re lovely, but they have no character. This neighborhood went a little over board in that respect but it’s infinitely more interesting and fun. I should have been an urban planner. hahaha

I love this one. It reminds me of the happy feeling if Arrow the dog from the animated film “The Point” made from Harry Nilsson’s album of that name. Arrow was featured in the song, and corresponding film part, “Me and My Arrow”.
