Art du Jour 90

What do you think? Too wild? Would you want to live in this chaotic little city?

I don’t know whether or not this is finished yet. It’s one of the biggest canvases I’ve ever worked on so all that work makes me feel like I should be done.

And then I frown at it for a while trying to decide what’s missing.  But whatever is missing, there’s no room for it!  So I’m finished, right?

Anyway, letting it hang for a bit.  I used up a LOT of paper scraps creating my little village on crack.

  1. This is fabulous! Before even reading the words underneath I thought “I would like to live here”, I imagine it’s all twinkling lights and colour and creative chaos which frankly is the best kind of chaos. 🙂

    • You know, I drive through new neighbourhoods where all the houses are basically the same in shades of grey and brown and yes, they’re lovely, but they have no character. This neighborhood went a little over board in that respect but it’s infinitely more interesting and fun. I should have been an urban planner. hahaha

  2. I love this one. It reminds me of the happy feeling if Arrow the dog from the animated film “The Point” made from Harry Nilsson’s album of that name. Arrow was featured in the song, and corresponding film part, “Me and My Arrow”.
