Everybody gets the blues
But do they get them in different hues?
Tiffany, cyan, blue suede shoe,
Robins egg or blizzards brew?
Periwinkle, denim jeans,
Prussians, royals, aquamarines.
Electric, powder, cornflower, skies,
Sapphire, cobalt, a lovers eyes.
Mondays are blue. Herons are too.
Rivers and oceans and back yard pools.
The wild blue yonder. Midnight fools.

Grass, balls, lips and indigo.
Windy beaches frothed and wavy
Turn to cerulean, azure, navy.
Blueberry, bluebird, ink tatoo,
Bluejay, velvet, icy slew.
A Blue footed Booby, a dog named Blue.
Little boy, baby, neon, true.
Tell me the blue that sings to you.
When blue whales swim the blue pacific
And you get the blues, please be specific.
