I’m not actually doing any sewing today, I just like alliteration. And I used to sew using purchased McCalls and Simplicity patterns, and I found this hilariously funny. I don’t know, blame it on lack of sleep. Or how strange these outfits are.
I’m not even kidding, we used to wear those bloomer type get ups in gym in high school.
Be thankful those went the way of the dinosaur, and have a fun weekend.
I found this hilarious!

Funny how we both posted at the exact same time and used the exact same word! HA!

That bathing suit jacket looks like some wallpaper from my past. If only it had swans.

Me too. I would have bought a lot more of them back in the day if they came with captions. lol

I loved the idea of Simplicity patterns, the whole idea of making something like what was in the picture. But that’s pretty much where it ended – after you open the envelope and take out all those sheets, it’s downhill.

LOL! That’s for sure. Nothing I made ever turned out right. Maybe because I didn’t have a stick figure physique.
And if someone said, oh, did you make that? you knew it was awful. 😄

That brought back some memories. Those patterns, and those god-awful phys ed pants. Yikes. ☺

Yep, they were awful. There was nobody looking good in those things.

I’d wear those bloomer-type things any day if it made my waist look like those in the pictures! Or my thighs!

I don’t think it’s possible to have a waist that size and still be breathing. lol

Yes we did. Little girls wore them too.

Someone gifted my baby daughter with “rompers”. I was a good mom and never put them on her. lol

I love them too! And how the fashions change. 😊

My bloomers were blue, but every girl tucked her bloomers into her underpants to shorten them. The girl with the tightest rolled bloomers was Michelle Tyson. Thanks for the painful memory…I think.

Haha…that’s funny and something I’m sad to say we never thought of. We were too busy trying to stay out of sight from the boys with our winter legs and bloomered butts.

I remember my gym bloomers 🙂
Love what’s written on the pattern.
